The Internet has opened new opportunities for people to earn money. I have here a number of ways by which you can make money online even if you are new to the Internet. Take note that some of these money-making tips require you to have a blog (online journal) of your own. But no worries, it doesn’t take rocket-science to create and maintain a blog. All you have to do is register to free blog hosting sites, Blogger.com for example, and from there on these sites will assist you through user-friendly guides on how to start your blog.

1. Adsense. Google Adsense is perhaps the most popularly used income generating medium by bloggers and website owners. Adsense will post ads matching to your site’s content and in each click on these ads, you earn money. To know whether your site is qualified for Adsense check their program policies. And if you’re good to go, sign up for Adsense. After a couple of days or so a reply will be sent regarding the status of your application together with further instructions on how to install Adsense to your blog or website.

2. Affiliate Programs. To increase sales and profitability, most online merchants practice affiliate marketing wherein they recruit affiliate websites or sometimes called publishers to help promote their products or services. The publishers in return are being rewarded depending on the compensation method they’ve agreed on. Two of the most common compensation methods are revenue sharing wherein affiliate websites earn a portion of each sale they bring to their partner merchants and pay per click compensation where income is determined by the number of clicks ads get. Some merchants use third party affiliate networks such as Commission Junction and Clickbank to recruit and manage publishers. Others such as Amazonand eBayonly require you to fill up online application forms from their website.

3. Pay per post. Writing sponsored posts for certain products or services has become a popular way of making money over the Internet. These post may come as reviews, endorsements, or as simple articles about a given product or service. Popular websites that offer pay per post advertising are PayPerPost and Smorty.com. 4. Paid Surveys. Some firms need to do market research to improve their products and services. One way to do this is by collecting opinions and feedbacks from consumers. To do this, they commission online survey sites to conduct surveys for them. And to encourage participation from site visitors, these online survey sites give incentives- money, reward points which can later be traded to prizes, or freebies. Take note however that there some online survey sites that are scams. Be careful in giving out private information such as your credit card number. Online survey sites that require you to pay a registration fee or a certain payment before you get your rewards are most probably scams so to avoid these types of survey sites.

5. Stock Photos. If you have an eye for photography, why not register, upload, and sell your masterpieces to stock photo sites? With each photo sold you earn a certain percentage of the earnings as reward.

6. YouTube partnership. To encourage quality content uploads, YouTube has opened its partnership program to serve as a revenue sharing opportunity for its community members. Revenue will come from ads posted on partner-uploaded videos. To qualify for partnership, uploaders should post original videos and must own the copyrights to these videos. 7. Sell stuff on eBay. If you have things that you think others might be interested in buying, why not sell them online? And if you’re selling them online, why not sell them on one of the largest online market places? 8. Squidoo. Squidoo lets you create pages online for free where you can share your knowledge and ideas on certain topics. These pages are called lenses, and with these lenses, you can earn royalties from ads. Squidoo gives you 50% of the revenue your lenses earn and you are also given an option whether to donate your earnings to charities or keep it for your self. 9. Hubpages. Like Squidoo, Hubpages lets you publish online pages called Hubs- a webpage where you can write an article, add links, videos, and pictures. Hubpages also rewards you through ad revenue sharing. However, just like Google, and Squidoo, content is important in making your Hubs. 10. Search Engines. There are search engines that rewards you everytime you use them in finding information over the Internet.
